Someone's going to be disappointed.

Cheers, Bill

I didn't know that "centsles" was back selling his bogus coins, with his own personal basement grading service, with his own labels, and with his uneducated descriptions on ebay. Buyer beware when the seller is centsles!

You got that right. But in my case just the opposite happened. Another reason not to buy little pieces of paper inside plastic.

I agree. The surface is definitely not original. I also agree with Okie's comments about "centsles". There can be some really nice stuff on ebay, but there are also many examples of sellers describing coins as "stunning" or "exceptional" that have major damage that goes unmentioned.

Nice catch John K... I avoided buying anything from the Cook Collection... do the surfaces of your coin look original?

I bought a cheap key date "MS" George V small cent off him a few years back. The photos were poor. On receipt it was clear that it had been whizzed. He did take it back though.

On a positive note, centsles correctly identified this one as a Canada one cent. *face palm*
