1965 Copper Dime Missing The Word "in" From "in God We Trust"

Kuwaitin08 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 10/15/2019 9:41 pm I was out metal detecting the other day and found a 1965 copper dime. Upon cleaning, I noticed that The word "It" was missing from the front of the coin. While there was some wear around the outside, there doesn't seem to be even a trace of anything where the name should be. I briefly looked around online and didn't see any error coins listed with that issue. Does anyone know of an error like that on these coins? Report this Post to the Staff

If it is within mint specs, then it is the case that being buried in soil has caused surface staining to a copper color. Wouldn't tell you anything. Copper and Nickel are nearly identical is weight/density (copper is 8.96 g/cm3, nickel is 8.90 g/cm3) a solid copper, solid nickel, solid copernickel, or coppernickel clad would all weight the same within mint specs.
