There were 100,000 minted at the Washington Mint. The coin is one troy ounce, .999 pure. I have number 19 thousand or so. What is the Greysheet value or other known approximate value of this coin? The coin isn't like most coins; the faces are not 180 degrees from obverse to reverse, but rather--just flip it on the same edge-point to see the upside of either side. Value?

Thanks,
JD

I should have said more clearly that Al Gore is on one side, and George W. Bush is on the other.

It is not a coin at all, it is a privately made medal. The "Washington Mint" is a private company. Since it is not a US legal tender coin, it will not be listed in any price guide. The only value it would have is the silver value, one troy ounce as of Friday was about $12.50 and silver has been down quite a bit lately.

This is not a coin. The Washington Mint is not affiliated with the US Mint, it is a private mint. I do not know much about the Washington Mint, but someone here must.

Seems that the "Washington Mint" is a private company in Minnesota, part of the "Collectible America" group. http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/s...69957&EDATE=
