DirtyPenny88 New Member United States 48 Posts	Posted 10/16/2019 9:58 pm Hi everyone :) so this coin is toned very green in person (I know this is a common color, but it is the greenest one I've seen yet). But the scratches/ marks on the REVERSE, make me think it's a type of error? How they do not obscure the coins design i.e. on the stem of the right wheat, through the N in "one." Idk I'm new to seeing things this close with the scope, could be PMD that I'm not used to seeing! All input is appreciated thank you everyone :) Report this Post to the Staff

Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 10/16/2019 10:57 pm I agree with CoinHI. It could have been scratched 50 or 60 years ago and then returned to circulation. The high areas that are smooth now could have had the same marks, they've just worn down. The deepest scratches run through the lettering as well as the fields. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/19/2019 7:31 pm Incuse marks on the coin, would mean the die would have to be having raised areas on the fields. The only way a raised mark would be on a die would be a crack. Just coin damage on the coin. (incuse marks on a coin is 99% of the time a coin issue, not a die issue) PSD is very common.
