FirefighterA New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 10/17/2019 8:32 pm Hey everyone, So, I'm still new to the hobby and I stumbled upon this coin. This looked kind of odd to me and I was wondering if I could reach out for some education on it. The penny looks lie it has raised extra metal in a line that travels in the field and onto Lincoln's chest. Is this just damage? I tried to post a few angles hopefully it captured it well enough. Not damage, but also doesn't add value to the coin. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/17/2019 8:44 pm The color was either altered, or just turned that color. Sometimes people mess with the color to make everyone think this coin was never plated. The bubble shows us it was plated and the color is all that changed. Report this Post to the Staff
