I've had this one a while and while going through some of my collection and came across this one. The only hit I see on the coin is right in the center line of the torch, along with a couple minor scratches just below that hit. Would this distract from FT? What would you guys grade this coin?

I looked at the pics before I read your text and thought that if there could be a worse place for a hit, I'm not sure where it would be, re: FSB. Is that a scratch on the obverse hair forward of her cap or a continuation of the die scratch apparent on the neck? Gotta be at least a 65 wouln't you think?

Thanks Bieder. Yea That line on the obverse is a continuation of the crack in the hair. I looked it up to confirm. Also, yea the worst place for a hit and I was thinking 65 maybe 66 but not higher. Some of the 65s I've looked at have a few hits.

AU58 or MS65 can't tell if it's strike weakness or rub

Curious lack of luster, at least in these pics. By the way, that is not a "torch" but rather a fasces, which represents strength and unity.
Rest in Peace

Not FSB. Flat photos really don't show high points well. It's a total guess between 58 and 63.

Yea frog its not a very flashy one, (Slightly toned)and grape it does seem to have a weak or lite grease strike on the obverse.

Here's my biggest concern. The head on the obverse, and ribbon, bottom of the fasces and leaves all show weakness that would be unusual for a mint state coin, but normal for a lightly circulated coin

It's definitely a mint stare coin. No circulation here

Hmmm... I was thinking weak strike. From these pics I'm not seeing the nicks and scratches one would expect from circulation. Unless it's been polished. But then you wouldn't see the flow patterns I see here. I dunno. If it isn't mint, then it fooled me.

I like it, the typical die crack also is shown by the wing tip, not sure about the luster but likely not FSB.

Its certainly in MS, but anywhere from 61-65.

I'd go along with a MS grade but just not sure exactly which one. Anywhere from MS-60 to -64.
And about 95% FSB.
