Hey Pillar members,I got 2, '04 Texas State Quarters in change yesterday. As usual, when I got to my truck I looked through my change and, at first glance I thought I had a couple of new San Antonios. WRONG. I have 2 '04's that look like they came right out of a BU roll. Other than a little haze on one, they're absolutely spotless. I mean, it's not totally surprising to find a beauty here and there but a pair like this has me scratching my head. A 30x loupe is all I have and they look legit. Am I overreacting and should just put em in flips and forget about em for another 15 yrs? What would you guys do? Thanks in advance!

I got a whole box of bu State Quarters a few months ago I sent them all back to the bank. It's gotta be unique or silver for me to keep it, but everyone has their own interests.
Rest in Peace

In order for them to be worth saving they would have to be in very high uncirculated grade.

Show us photos and we can offer better opinions.

They are most likely safe to spend.

If you like them keep them (someone has kept them for 15 years) if they don't excite you spend them. People hoarded TONS of BU State Quarters (Hence the rediculously high mintages compared to the pre State Quarters) and now after many years they are discovering that they AREN'T going to be worth a fortune, put their kids through college etc, and they are being dumped.

Keep them for your children. Get the new collectors of tomorrow,on their way. Show them why they are unique. And hopefully they don't buy a gumballs with them.
