coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/29/2019 9:20 pm Lips. Note the affected area is the same height as the fields. It is Machine Doubling. On a doubled die the devices will be slightly enlarged and raised. Not reduced. Note on this half dollar. The one on the left is a DDO. The examples (like your coin) is showing Machine Doubling. The difference the doubling on a doubled die is one the die. Machine is cause from die movement after the strike. Note on the example on the left the spread. The spread is caused by hub doubling. The reason I didn't take pics of the whole coin is that the affected areas are what is shown. Also my camera was at full zoom and at optimal focus. .
