Hello everyone. I have a nice 1983 D quarter that appears to have something going on with the ear and mm. There may also be a clash showing on the obverse. Nothing listed online that I can find and I would love your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Looks like Machine Doubling on both areas. Not the affected areas are reduced, flat shelf like. If this were a doubled die, then they would be raised and enlarged.

Did you see the die crack on the obverse? About 4:00-5:00?

I did, though after checking close up I thought it may be a scratch. Can you see closer from these photos to confirm? Thanks!

If the line is above the field it is a die crack.

It does look like a coin scratch now that I take a second look.
