2019 W Sam Quarter Error - Coin Community Forum

With that being said, can anybody help me to understand how this happened? Its on 4-2019 W SAM quarters! Yes, I have 4 of these!! All came from the same bank. Theyre all the same size and in the exact same spot. I will be sending to wexler this week for his opinion. If they are in different locations on each coin, then they may have been altered. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm still waiting for them to come back to me! The final answer is............. "Die mark on lip" and in the comments section it is wrote that " the exact cause of these marks is unknown and is the subject of ongoing research"! I think this is a good thing!! All 4 graded ms66 On another note, I also have a 67 Mariana island struck thru debris with this order! To answer the question above...all 4 are in the exact same spot. I know someone that has 3 others. All in the exact same spot. Report this Post to the Staff

The came back labeled "circle die mark on lip" and in the comments section it states that "the exact cause of these marks is unknown and is subject of investigation"! Report this Post to the Staff
