Hi yall! I tend to have the very best luck when it comes to finding error coins. With that being said, can anybody help me to understand how this happened? Its on 4-2019 W SAM quarters! Yes, I have 4 of these!! All came from the same bank. Theyre all the same size and in the exact same spot. I will be sending to wexler this week for his opinion. Thank you all in advance for your opinions:-)

But on the examples that Mike has posted, these are in the center area. These are not. Beings you found several examples, the anomoly is on the die.

Question: Are all the affected areas, exactly in the same locations on each coin? If so it would prove a die issue. If they are in different locations on each coin, then they may have been altered.

UPDATE!! They had to send my order to consult so it took forever to get back. I'm still waiting for them to come back to me! The final answer is.............
"Die mark on lip" and in the comments section it is wrote that " the exact cause of these marks is unknown and is the subject of ongoing research"!
I think this is a good thing!!
All 4 graded ms66
On another note, I also have a 67 Mariana island struck thru debris with this order!
To answer the question above...all 4 are in the exact same spot. I know someone that has 3 others. All in the exact same spot.

Another update! I've received my coins. The came back labeled "circle die mark on lip" and in the comments section it states that "the exact cause of these marks is unknown and is subject of investigation"!
