The Australian Senate is having an Inquiry into Banning Cash in Australia.

Disclaimer, Admin I have under 50 posts. But this is obviously one of the most important monetary decisions in our nations history. And we as collectors would be one of the hardest hit. No more money..

just to clarify they are trying to limit how much we can hold and how much we can transfer in cash and receive as gift to the value of 10k or part cash and barter or items to that value Holding more than $10,000 in cash or value as a coin and note collection would be an offense and punishable by 120 penalty units or 2 years in jail.

I read earlier this year that the Libs & Labor had already agreed on the A$10,000 cash limit and it comes into force on the 30th June 2020,someone on here will know more.
