@chronos, my Portuguese is not very good, but that is definitely not a coin. Rather it seems like a medal from 1965 that celebrated the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Give me a little while to figure out if it actually is gold.

Yes good question and perhaps one of our Brazilian members can weigh in. Unless you find someone for which this year, country, or celebration holds some special meaning, I would imagine that it is only worth the gold spot price. Sorry that I can't offer a more definitive opinion.
