While searching my Bison Nickels, I happened to come across this guy

What do you guys think? Cool or nothing special?

If you look at the leg next to the last one, you can see it has a much bigger space for connecting the leg to the buffalo.

Perhaps overly aggressive polishing to address a die clash?

Commonly called a 'detached' leg & your's is mighty close. '05 bisons had a few neat surprises.

Correct. Over polishing removed the field and sub devices just enough. It is a die event. It will show on every coin struck after that field was reduced until retirement.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I found one more from the same bag. Also I found a Bison Nickel that has a tiny lump on it's leg.

The lump will probably be a die chip. Most often round on areas there the design/devices meet the fields.

That's a very helpful thing that you have put together! I never really knew it was possible for things like that to happen.
I will try to upload my photo whenever I get time.
