Does anyone know who the person is?
Is this a rare ancient coin?

@rondo, can you please post the weight of this piece? Based on the size relative to your fingers, it might be a Hecte.

it looks a stater from Lampsakos with a veiled Demeter and the forpart of a winged horse . Do you have some more details : weight , size ? If real ( ?) it is a very expensive coin , but I have some doubts . albert

Coins like this usually come with some type of provenance. Do you have any information as to precise owners and where the coin came from?
