Not a trace of the word trust from any angle. Any ideas? Thanks

We need a bigger image of the coin (both sides) AND a closeup of the area of interest.

I agree with Kanga as there may be at least two reasons, one of which is PSD.

It's damage. It was squished with something flat as both sides show that metal displacement.

If it was damage the coin would be outaround. I think it's a tapered planchet. It should weigh a little less than 3.1 g.

I'm not sure, but the fields look like it's Struck Through Grease with lots of metallic debris. The coin looks like it's still round. If it was damaged, I would think it would have changed the shape of the coin.

I'm leaning towards Struck Through Grease and debris over damaged, but I'm just not 100% sure either way. It's hard to tell with the level of circulation on this coin.

Do you know the weight of the coin?

What is the weight of the coin?

There is a lack of details on direct opposite sides of the coin which is making me wonder if it might be tapered? A lack of metal to fill the devices in these areas only or Struck Through Grease.

I agree with thinned planchet. The weakness is opposite that area on the other side. Edge will be thinner if that is the case.
