Actually all the 1968 cents look like that. The master hub was swelling outwards. So in 1969 they created a new master hub:

It is the hub created off the galvino. Top part of the image. Then they Create two master dies, then Working hub and working dies. Just the chain of progress for die creation. So all the cents pretty much look like your coins with the devices touching the rims.
