Thanks CH27, I got the quarter raw for $10, can you believe it? Though I have to say when I originally posted it I got a lot of mixed reviews. I like it, and you like it, but I suppose the toning is appealing based on your taste.
Also, the 1988 RDV-006 was a CRH find. I couldn't believe my eyes when that popped out!

Wow I can't believe that '88 came out of a Roll! That's a super nice coin. And $10 for the quarter?! What a beauty. I always like that brownish toning on silver coins. That Seated quarter is quite a beauty as well. Nice set GC! -CH27

Well done GC.
I'm envious of the '88 RDV as well. Excellent condition for a roll find.

@CH27, I can't either! It's the only genuine RDV-006 in 65RD with none finer. PCGS has a bunch slabbed as equal or final, but they're all RDV-005. Making this the finest known. It's a bit wonky, but a nicer modern rarity that's got great eye appeal for the set. In hand it's got a blazing red and orange luster with a satiny obverse and cartwheeling reverse. Great piece really.
@TBOP, it's almost there. I've got my seated half locked in, once I've bought it I'll only be missing the FH to complete my halves. Though I plan to upgrade the Barber to a 62 or 63 at somepoint.
@hfjacinto, I often look for months or in some cases well over a year before buying one for the set. I want to make sure I'm happy with it when it's done.
@jbuck, thanks! I plan on saving coppers to last because they give me anxiety, which sounds kinda funny but it's true.

Quote: I'm doing one of each design and major subtype. Except for seated and draped bust designs, in those cases I'm just doing a single basic example. That's why I like the idea of a type set. It can be anything you wish.

@kanga, That's what I like about it too. If I did a "true" type set I'd have to do all 4 Types for the Seated coins. Seeing how I'm trying to do it as much as possible in BU, 16 Seated Types will get really expensive really fast. That's not even including the Seated dollars....

Really nice presentation. However, I am not a favor of plastic so all slabbed coins to me are not what I'd want. Although yours do look great as is. I may have missed it but didn't see a .20 cent coin. For me slabbed coins take up to much room.

I haven't found a 20c yet Carl. I'm target 62 or 63 for it with a nice full strike and good luster. Haven't found one that meets that requirement yet.
