I have got this coin here: Pó#322;grosz - Jan I Olbracht Kraków mint Here is the Numista link: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces124688.htmlIt says something like it's price is 1100PLN and that is so much money. I was finding that sellers often sell it for 15$-20$ and less (here is the image where Numista says it's price is 1100PLN. What does it mean?

Any site can put whatever price they want, until someone buys it then that's a 'real' price.

@pemmp, the listed price of nearly $300 for that coin does seem kinda high, but $15 seems a little low to me. Perhaps you could join numista and create your own listing to help move the price to somewhere in the middle?

This price is probably the sold price of the pictured example, and $300 might well be correct for an example of such quality. I do admit that it's misleading as ch*rp, but it's probably not technically wrong. (The actual rarity value is the Numista Rarity Index below, but it's almost irrelevant for Poland-Lithuania and Kingdom of Poland coins, because those sections are managed by a ridiculous splitter who thinks that nearly every remotely major variety should have its own page.) EDIT: you sure that the $20 sellers have this type and not the other one? To my untrained eye they look pretty similar, and even the NRI is a much more reasonable 79.

Here are prices from ebay. They are even cheaper. Every coin is from same seller and there is like 50 of them.

Quote:Here are prices from ebay. Yup, that's clearly the other type I linked. In fact, I think so is your coin (if it's even Jan Olbracht at all - I can't read the legend). The rarer type has an O under the crown; the more common type has a flower.

All of the comments are correct: - the version with the O (Kopcki 386) is rare compared to the version with the flower (Kopicki 387), but not extraordinarily rare - in low/medium grade (F-VF) the flower type is worth no more than $5-10, and the O type a bit more. As you see from ebay, it is a very common coin. This coin currently sells in lots of 6 for $25-30 at the Polish auction house WCN. - the example pictured in Numista would likely grade in the AU to MS range at a US grading service (it was graded EF+ by WCN in the December 2016 auction where it sold) and is quite rare in this state for a medieval Poland coin, hence the high value Because of the condition of your coin, it is worth no more than the silver content, no matter which ruler and which type.
