Hi Everyone,

Trust there is someone that can shed some light on this item:

Switzerland:-Basel.-City-Medallic-
Switzerland:-Basel.-City-Medallic-
Switzerland:-Basel.-City-Medallic-

The last image above is from the reverse and was not present on the original coin. Is this a way to identify this item as a replica or fake?

The coin is sterling silver and weighs 27.1 grams.

The diameter is between 41 and 42 mm.

My last question is would this item only be worth melt value or does it have some collectors value as well?

Many thanks in advance for any assistance with this query.

Regards,
Mike.

Certainly that hallmark indicates it is not the original coin, but is a later reproduction.

I cannot comment on whether it has some collector value.

Probably you have done the research and seen the real deal:
