I found this 1972 Jefferson nickel with areas missing on both sides of the dome, any information would be appreciated didn't know if this is common or over polished dies or what thank you in advance

I have images of this on my host, but not able to find them. But even on proof coin, you can see where the design will vary, but I feel it is part of a die polishing issue. I need to see if it was a master hub issue. I would have to check different years and see if this was progressive, it if it was a die polishing issue. Still looking for the images though.
