Lamination Error On 1919 D Mercury Dime?

Haven't post any new buy, took a chance from a seller that have only this dime on ebay, pictures was lousy but decided to take the chance.

I was thinking if this was a deliberately tooled error, if such a thing is possible? And how?

Looks like a legit lam error to me, although those scratches above EPU make me think that someone helped the lam flap detach. With this level of wear, it must have gotten heavy use and then someone noticed that it was starting to split.

I was thinking someone pry it off after the split was noticed, maybe out of curiosity, so that's why the scratch marks are there? Damaged error!
