Lamination Error On 1919 D Mercury Dime?

macmercury Pillar of the Community United States 5832 Posts	Posted 11/10/2019 8:43 pm Haven't post any new buy, took a chance from a seller that have only this dime on ebay, pictures was lousy but decided to take the chance. I was thinking if this was a deliberately tooled error, if such a thing is possible? And how? Report this Post to the Staff

With this level of wear, it must have gotten heavy use and then someone noticed that it was starting to split.
