It's neat but...it's just Post Mint Damage.
Looks like it's been dipped in maybe acid? I have no idea

@brian, you are bringing high levels of enthusiasm, which is awesome. However, this coin spent time in acid, which explains its pitted surface (not a mint error as noted by @sc). The weight should be below spec.

I collect Roman bronze coins in all sorts of different conditions.
This nickel reminds me of such a coin after recovery from ground burial over a time of a thousand years or more, then had to undergo a necessary very harsh cleaning to aid identification.
Probably a metal detector find, cleaned up with a fine brass wire brush.

i took it to a coin shop and he thought acid when I pulled it out then when he looked at it his jaw dropped he insisted he keep it locked up in his safe until I get it graded and insured he is gonna call me tomorrow and help me with the process he had 3 ppl from his shop look at it and they looked like kids on xmas so I'm guessing Walmart self checkout gave me a winner I hope

What you mentioned makes me suspicious of the dealer you took it to. Is he going to charge you a fee to get it graded?

If that's the case, then that dealer is definitely a fraud. This is just a roadkill find
