2004 nickel damage? very odd looking cuts on reverse? I know most likely damage but the oddly smooth and round?

I think they're gonna need a few stitches on those cuts!

It looks like something sharp made contact with the coin. I'm sure it's only PSD. Nice photos!

what I find weird is the edges roll inside instead of out like most cuts I see

On the images above, you can see a zinc cent with a light scratch that doesn't split the plating. Above that there is one that slices through the plating and exposes the zinc. Note on that on the debris from the cut will make it look like it is raised, when the damage is incuse.
