$10. One of my favorite coins and dirt cheap to boot. Thoughts? Thanks!

Bonus points if you guess why I bought this particular coin besides the obvious reason that I'm an idiot.

Don't see anything special.

When I started collecting, back in the 1950s, I got two rolls of those all uncirculated. Sold them for $10 a roll - arrrgh! I got them at the Milwaukee Public Museum. They had a thing there for kids one Saturday a month. Is the "Trading Post" still up and running?

We could bring in all kinds of stuff to trade with other kids or sell them for "points" to museum staff which we could then use to buy stuff that the museum was unloading in a showcase (never coins). I ended up with lots of small cases of butterflies but got the 83's from one of the other kids.

Here is the reason why I bought this coin. If you look at the corn cob to the left of the bow in the reverse, that area is 9 out of 10 times weakly struck. The corn cob on my coin below shows many kernels and is sharply struck.

Also note that all the stars in the obverse of my coin are fully split. All the stars in the NGC gem MS66+ obverse are not.

Contrast this with the strike on this NGC graded MS66+ gem coin here: https://coins.ha.com/itm/liberty-ni...bnail-071515

I am saying the strike on my coin in thia thread is better than that of a coin graded MS66+ by NGC. What is confusing about what I am saying?

Yes. Your coin's corn cob definitely shows off the sharp strike.

Even with the sharp strike, I'd be at AU-50.
