2018 ATB Voyageurs Quarter New Errors?

On the first image, you are seeing coin scratches. I know they look like they flow behind the devices, but they don't Why? Because those devices are incuse (sunk into the coin, raised on the die) So while the other images look like the die is doubled, it is the non premium type of doubling called Machine Doubling. The rules for the incuse devices are opposite for the raised devices. The devices are raised on the die, and when the die moves slightly, then the are enlarged. (just opposite for the raised devices) So I wonder how many of these quarters have this MD issue. out of 100, 70 had this issue. Most very minor, others stronger looking. So 70% is is most of them. So they are common to find and are actually not hub doubling (doubled dies) but Machine Doubling. So you have a normal coin. I have yet to see a real doubled dies on the ATB incuse devices on the ring out the outside of the reverse. The DDR's are found on the central areas of the design on both sides of these coins on the State Quarters and the ATB Quarters.
