I found this 1970 S in my pocket and got curious to check it and then I found out it doesn't have FG on the back, is this an error or is this normal occurrence? your opinion is greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's a bit hard to tell from the photos. If ANY of the FG shows at all, it's not "missing." If you can get clear, sharp pictures of the field in that area we should be able to answer the question for you.

With the floating roof, weakened statue and weaken 'FG', I would call this a die polishing event that happened to the die. So every coin that was struck with that die will keep showing this die event. Depending on the die state when this event happened, there could be tens of thousands of coins with this die event, or sometimes hundreds of thousands of these examples from this die pair. So I just call them die events, and pass them on down to circulation. (To me, a variety coin collector, why would I save common stuff?)
