Found this in a wheat bag a while ago. Never got around to posting about it. I think it's a lamination pre-strike, because the mint mark is raised above it? What puzzles me is that fragment left in the middle between the bust and the date. Is this a LAM?

It's definitely a lam in my book. It may be a pre-strike lam, but only because it includes what seems to be a normal mintmark.

But if it were a pre-strike lamination, the design would be on the peeled area and would just weak struck.

I feel this is not a pre-strike lamination by a post lamination peel. The reason the mintmark is will there, the strike forced the devices to hold in place that area of the peel, but peel on either side of the mintmark. But still a great error. (Being a wheat increases the value more than on a Memorial cent.
