I have had this for a while. with a 10x lop you can see some trails on the bottom of the 1 & 7

Not an expert on varities of this type but something does seem amiss with the date
I compared to a Heritage - can't upload from here

The trails are found on the single squeeze Dies from about 1986 forward. Not sure what your coin has on it Dwight? The 8 & 5 seem a little different in shape, but not too familiar with that year of Cents.

Perhaps you could point out the feature on the date you're curious about?
A DDO won't show up on the date since it was gang-punched into the die after hubbing.
