That's it I've given up - as of today ebay have restricted my account for at least 4 weeks and I don't know why. There were seller issues arising from packages that went to other countries and didn't arrive. ebay took money out of my account for this without me being able to stop it. Somehow, I still wasn't providing a good enough experience to my buyers and my account has been suspended.

Unfortunately for me, I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A REALLY GOOD SALES SPREE AND HAVE THINGS TO PAY OFF WHICH I NOW CANNOT AFFORD.

So I will probably get punished by the faceless criminals of ebay for not paying for any of my items. I need to pay for food to eat and don't work due to having CFS which is chronic fatigue syndrome so where would I get the money from.

DOWN WITH THE SCUMBAGS OF ebay!

I don't know what else to say...

I've been seeing more and more of this. The new feedback structure leaves sellers at the mercy of the buyers.
It's wrong of them to not at least tell you what's going on though.

That's just one way out of the myriad number of ways in which the seller is getting screwed these days...
Now I have to wait until Lockdales and B Frank and Son auction houses sell my gear in November and I won't get the money back from that until Xmas..
Looks like I'll be taking a break for a while :)

A buddy of mine had his paypal account hacked and had a thousand dollars sent to a ebay email address citing a bogus ebay invoice number. He went to his bank and filed an affidavit that the charge was unauthorized and they reversed it. Of course, paypal froze his account.

I am dumb-founded that they have no internal controls to double-check such things as ebay invoice numbers. The potential for illicit gain is mind-boggling.

Oh, paypal back-tracked within a few days and unfroze his account.

I am not liking this at all.

I hope you are able to find friendlier and more profitable avenues of commerce!

Matty, I'm so sorry to hear this; I hate ebay and what it has become! I hope you will still sell coins here, though, because I love the coins you list.
Rest in Peace

It's outrageous how some of these buyers are paranoid and messing with people over. I had one guy scream at me and open a dispute because I didn't respond to his email the DAY he sent it. I really wanted to give it to him, but I didn't want a negative feedback. Funny thing, the MOMENT they open a dispute, you can't do ANYTHING even if it's meaningless. I can't believe how much they side with the buyers either. He was also complaining that the item hadn't arrived in six days, but it had only been four business days, and the shipping for parcel post was 2-9 business days...

That is an experience I have had with a UK buyer...he got the money out of my account and into his after about two weeks?

And WHY are they siding with the Ukraine?! - i.e. with regards to a 36.70 GBP package that I sent there a couple of months ago...yep, he got all of that back including postage...

Matt, I'm very sorry to hear about all of this. You of all people definitely don't deserve it, and since I've been a repeat customer of the goods you sell, I can say that with certainty.

The forums can't exactly replace ebay, but if you continue to post things here for sale, at least it will keep a bit of income for you. Maybe enough to eat with?

I thought you knew there was no difference between the two entities.

---

Thing is I have gear that won't really sell tremendously if it's not sold through the Bay.

What I've been doing up to now is just building up my 'gear' so that I can get to that stage at some point in the near future - I am planning on making a few serious Shillings (pounds) when a couple of nice loads I've sent off sell at auction. Then more bargains from those places...

with ElleKitty. I've bought from you several times and never had a problem. In fact, I usually receive packages from you faster than I do from most US sellers.
