I am collecting Barber halves in the G-VG range. I have a few duplicates. I am wondering which ones to keep. Which one of each pair would you keep? Thanks 1909 1908 S

Left one for each. More consistent coloring, fewer spots.

Not fond of either of the 1909's. Prefer the left l908-S.

Agree with MrFrog on the '09's - however if I was keeping one I would keep the right. The '08-S is the left one.

Yes, the 09 is dark but I like that old, dark album toning. I won it, along with the two others pictured here. A coin shop I used to go to in CA had weekly silent auctions. They were quite enjoyable. Thanks for your comments.

If I owned them, I would keep them.

I'm not fond of any of them, but the ones on the left are nicer IMO.

1909 - Right (I'm the oddball - I like the darker toning) 1908S - Left

Both on the right. The detail on both are slightly better than those to the left. I believe the dark spots on 1908s should disappear after a dip in acetone. Either way, I'd keep all 4.

Not sure why not keep all of them. I would.
