If any coin is about to go on the block to a 3rd party auction outside of CCF, can any CCF member place the auction's URL within a CCF thread dedicated to observing this coin's bids and final sale price?
I wanted to stick within accepted protocols.

@mdpm, I'm not a mod and don't know the specific protocol for this, but it seems to me that if you are wanting to follow the auction on CCF for educational purposes (e.g. it is a fake and you are alerting others) then this is fine. However, if your interest is self-promotion (e.g. it is your own auction), then a thread like that doesn't have a place on this forum. I'm probably missing some subtleties, but that should be your guiding principal IMHO.

If it's a site that is normally allowed to be posted then sure.
The site will stop you if it's one of the bad sites.

We open threads all the time on exceptionally sketchy ebay auctions. I haven't seen a coin jar or roll end cc morgan lately. Now it's the 200 year old safe. I saw someone trying to flip one of the safe coins a couple days ago.

Now I'm wondering if OP had a specific auction in mind.

I assume that this is the forum and governing rules where qualified members are able to post a link to an auction site selling a coin 'they' own: http://goccf.com/t/17485But my goal is 'not' to sell something that 'I' own. I only want to create a thread link to an exquisite coin(s) that will be taking bids and then follow it until the hammer drops. I only created this thread in an attempt to educate all interested parties on some very high end coin(s). I only wish I owned coins like these. Once I get CCF's clarification and approval to do this I will reach out to the owner to determine whether or not he even wants to establish a CCF link to his Heritage Auction coin(s). If there does happen to be some issue here by posting in the aforementioned thread, could I just make an arbitrary post in another forum appropriate for the denomination etc. I have 'zero' skin in the game here but am just a spectator in the nosebleed seats whose primary goal is to remain in good standing with CCF. Until I receive approval on both ends I will say, however, that just one of the gold coins should sell for over $ 1 mil.

The site will stop you if it's one of the bad sites. If @bobby says it is ok then it is ok. I look forward to seeing some eye candy!

Would anybody still be interested in seeing the results of the auction having the designation of "Rarest Regular-Issue 20th Century American Coin" that hammered down three days ago?

You'll need your Heritage login credentials to taste 'eye candy for a sweet tooth': https://coins.ha.com/itm/saint-gaud...-dailystatusIf I had anywhere near this kind of cash, I would have been $560,000 short just to have met the winning bid: quite a tasty morsel
