In general, no, I don't slab them unless they are AU or better. The exceptions are varieties where there might be a question as to whether it is or isn't the variety. An example is 1915-D DDO-001, where I slabbed two of them to verify the DDO on the label as it can be very hard to get that one right given all the Die Deterioration Doubling that goes on under the L on that year.

Nice one TB! Have you considered putting a drop of verdi on the MM to see if it'll lift that crud off so the RPM is more visible?

I don't like to treat coins but this one seems like it would benefit from a bit of conservation. Was thinking to see if mineral oil would take a little of the crud off and yes maybe a drop of Verdi after that.
