It's real and it's really damaged. It looks like a 60s or 70s cent that was ground down to expose the clean copper underneath. It might be worth one cent.

It could be one of does extremely rare Lincoln Cents . Only 1 other known to exist . The other one was swallowed by a monkey in 1979 .
Just Kidding , intentional damage ,no value .

Yup. It's real. Obverse is nicely ground-down/sanded/abraded. I have around 20 of these showing various ground-down patterns. I keep the most interesting ones.
