i compared this vrs the other 50 I have and this is for sure different-Please confirm or tell me I'm imaginging it-Thanks again!!

There were three mint mark styles that year, and this is the less common style. Although this is the style that was inverted, yours is normal.

Right, this is the normal version of the one that was inverted.

One easy way to tell if you have the inverted one is to look for the missing center of the lower serif on the mintmark. Here's my example:
1946-S-Lincoln-Cent-Inverted-S--I-Compared-Must-Be!

See the thin area on the top of the mintmark area? That is what the 'Ball Serif normally looked like:
