PSD. Note how the metal is outside of the edge of the coin. This happened after the strike happened. Not a mint error.

@celance, first welcome to CCF. Second, maybe this cent was gripped forcefully with something like needlenose pliers, but however it happened, this damage occurred after the coin left the mint.
