1968 LMC May Be A New DDO Listing?

came across this 1968, with notch showing under E in WE and raised (verified they are raised) markers on the I and N in IN. Also slight markers below the L in LIBERTY.

That one looks like master die doubling.

Hey John1 do you have a reference for the Master Die Doubling? Didn't see anything that matches on the typical reference websites

John1, did a search for 1968 LMC, I saw the posts by Coop but none of which addressed the issues with this coin,, anyone else have an opinion about the photos in the OP and below?

Looks like die gouges. Why is it is not a doubled die? Because it doesn't copy the hubs design. The die had some die gouges on that area. So all coins struck with that die will show the same thing until the fields are polished and that will remove the affected area of the die. If they are raised, they incuse on the die, raised on the coin. If those areas were incuse on the coin, then it would be damage to the coin. The die would be normal.

the markers a raised so would be die damage, thanks coop,

what about the notching in the E?

That is on all of them. Just part of the design that year. The following year, they made a new master hub. The old master hub was swelling outwards. Thus the devices were more closer and closer to the rim. This year they were on the rim.
