Just curious if this 1998 P is a doubled die or not? Or if its just smudged?

to the CCF!

I see lots of Machine Doubling and some Die Deterioration Doubling as well.

And zinc dust under the plating. (Thus the rough surface) A closer view might show us more as to what happened to the 'E' on cEnt. The overall size looks normal. So it maybe damage or a bit of grease prevented it from forming normally.

Thanks for the replies!! Please excuse my lack of cropping I tried, trust me. Ill get better. On the reverse the E's in the words "onE" and especially "cEnt". Looks notched and separated, but also flat unfortunately. Ahh well, ill be back (Arnold voice)
