1st I want to apologize for the terrible pics as they are the sellers photos & all I did was crop them. It is for sale locally to me. I wanted to check with you guys 1st before I attempted to buy it. The sellers for sale listing is he wants offers and did not list a price. So I'm grateful for any feedback about this particular coin, if possible. Thanks!

I'll preface this by saying I'm no expert in gold.

I usually stay away from buying any scarce US Type coin or scarce coins in general because I know I don't know enough. I would advise sticking to certified in general. That being said, this piece looks ok to me, but with a probable cleaning.

Pass - The denticles look off on the coin. If the coin would grade XF45, it would have a value of about $4000. You are better off buying a 4K+ gold coin in a TPG holder from a trusted dealer as there are too many fake gold coins on the market.
