1999-P Nickel W/ Some Sort Of Doubling

I know it's not the neatest aspect of the coin but the little bit of research I did said that "Full Steps" are rare & yet this coin has crisp Full Steps. That stood out to me for some reason. It is not the coin that is the issue, but the die that struck that coin and Machine Doubling after the strike. The die is showing extreme die wear. Here are a few nickel doubled dies: Note on your coin the areas you are looking at are [y]flat, shelf like and a reduction of the devices[/u]. Note on these examples the devices are enlarged in size, not reduced like Machine Doubling does. Report this Post to the Staff
