The indention on the obverse appears to be of the fasces from the reverse design or it could be an unknown struck through debris but the location and size seems to be too coincidental. let me know what you guys think. Yes, I don't see corresponding flattening on the rev, but that is not present in all cases. There is peripheral weakness at the level of the inscriptions on both sides which may or may not be related.
