I have that and the proof as well. I actually bought them from the mint in 1982! They are in my 7070 now.

Where they minted in 1982 or 1981. The certificate that comes with it says December 23, 1981

They are dated 1982, but I think they started minting them in late 1981. I ordered them from the Mint in November of 1981 and got them around March 1982.

I have 3 proofs of them. The detail on the G.W. and the horse is amazing. One just wasn't enough.

I like the mint state version of this coin...2.2 million vs 4.89 million proof...nice.

i have about 10 of these in proof condition.. I am trying to get a whole roll.. I like the uncirculated version better also but the proof comes with the hard plastic case that is what sells me

Quote: I like the uncirculated version better also but the proof comes with the hard plastic case that is what sells me Yeah, they both came in the same size and type box. The proof box is burgundy while the UNC box is cyan. While the proof is in a rigid plastic capsule, the UNC is in the cheap "mint set" cellophane.

Attention!...Attention...Jbuck is no longer allowed to use the word "cyan".
From now on he must refer to this color as "a bluish green kinda color".
Ha!.

Sorry, I am a victim of a family that has two graphic artists in it! To be honest, I should have said dark cyan or teal to be more accurate.
