Fair enough, I just didn't think it was silver as it is very dull but I suppose it could be.
Cheers
Brian.

Great Mongols, Chingiz (Ghengis) Khan, 1206-1227, anonymous billon jital, type attributed to Ghazna mint, undated, inscriptions in Arabic. The obverse cites the Great Khan Chingiz with only the title "Khaqan": 'adl / Khaqan / al-a'zam ("just [coin of] the mighty khaqan" or "the just and mighty khaqan"). The reverse names the 'Abbasid caliph al-Nasir: al-Nasir / li-din Allah / amir al-mu'- / -minin ("al-Nasir li-din Allah, commander of the faithful"). Album 1969; Tye 329.

The obverse inscription is ambiguous. 'Adl could refer either to the coin, meaning "just value", or to the Khaqan as a "just" ruler. The name of the caliph al-Nasir li-din Allah means "He who brings victory to the religion of Allah". This type is believed to have been struck at Ghazna in Afghanistan c. 1221 and is the only relatively common Mongol coin securely attributable to the lifetime of Genghis Khan. An above-average example (both images are upside-down, the second is the obverse).
