jack22002 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 10/04/2008 6:31 pm Hey all, I have no knowledge whatsoever of this stuff. I inherited this coin with others. I assume its a Morgan dollar. Is it and error coin or just worn? Is it worth anything? the opposite side is completely black. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 10/04/2008 6:58 pm The outline is of a Morgan $1 and from what I can see it is dateless. I doubt that it circulated to that degree of wear, it was probably a pocket piece carried in someone's pocket for maybe two or three decades. The only value it would have would be silver and a Morgan should weigh 26.73 grams of 90% silver for an actual silver weight of 0.7734 oz. Obviously, your coin would weigh a bit less than that from the extreme wear so the value would have to be adjusted accordingly with the actual weight. Report this Post to the Staff
