This coin is of no value beyond a penny.
It was solid black on both sides but I noticed some bumps, so I cleaned it up out of curiosity.
In some spots it looks like a layer came off, made me wonder if some type of acid spilled on it while in circulation?
But then I noticed a lot of raised solid bumps on both sides in the field.
This is just a case of I'm curious what caused this kind of damage, and looking for your thoughts, thanks.

Plating breaking down. A very spendable coin. Eventually in time it will all go away except for the Hershey's kiss copper wrapper. LOL

First up, what's up with the blue?

This is called zinc rot. It is very common and is to be expected on after 1982 cents. Sad, but true. It's a plating breakdown, as coop stated.

Don't know why the images showed up with blue tint, maybe the angle I held my iPad taking pictures of the microscope screen that also has a table top light behind it.

Or maybe too many whiskey on the rocks
