Yes, it is clear that it is a medal to commemorate the end of WWII. As for the value, likely not very much. A few dollars at most if you can find someone interested. There is no standard catalogue of medals with their values, so you would really need to search ebay sold items to get information. There are so many medals of this type around that the market for any one item is quite thin. The plus is that it is in quite good shape. The portrait of the King and Queen was used in a lot of medals of that era. Report this Post to the Staff

Must have been issued to school kids in the village of Stourport, by the local Municipal Council, or Chamber of Commerce. Stourport-on Severn is a village about 25klm southwest of Birmingham, in the U.K. Same sort of thing happened in towns in Australia.
