On the San Francisco S Mint Mark site they have a 'small and trumpet tail S' mint mark listed for 1941.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a large S MM for this year?

The trumpet S is the large MM . Regular S is the small MM.

I'm thinking that the correct TTS is noticeably larger than the small date, which may explain this. I seem to see differences in the small dates between "normal" and "TTS", but I think that's probably just an illusion from looking at too many circulated coins.
