But what you are seeing on your coin is DDD. Note the digits on the right side of them. That is what you are seeing. Direction tells the whole story.

Thanks Coop. I see the DDD on the date but what is causing what I have the arrow pointing to in the third image?
That isn't towards the rim but is raised.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
