Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get a "lock box" for my coin collection? I looked at Wal-mart but could only find small fire safes. I need something a little bigger than that. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rich

Depends on what you are actually looking for- do you want something that is somewhat fire resistant like a safe or do you just want a metal box with a locking lid/drawers? If it is the latter, any office supply store should have what you need.
Rest in Peace

Hello,

I went looking at safes last night and they are really expensive. So, I'm going to look for a locking cabinet like we have here at my job, it is a little big but not too big. I just need to find where to get it. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Rich

I started with a small lock box, then a small floor safe and now I have a closet sized gun safe. It depends on your budget and the size of your collection. I would invest in a decent gun safe cause you can always stick more valuables in them and guns if you have any and have as much room as you want for your collection.

*Whats your budget?

*Are you interested in fire safety ratings?

*Are you wanting just a minor degree of preventivie opening ie keeping the children out) or do you want something that could hold up to a sledge hammer for an extended period?

Everything from document safes, to pistol cabinets to lockable file cabinets.?

I suggest that you internet search Homack brand, Sentry, American Security to get an idea.

Walmart has been selling an upright small rifle safe around 100.00 that is easiliy anchord to the floor or closet wall studs that can hold alot of items. Anchoring is key. Lighter safes not anchored become a caryy out boxLOL.
Peace
