Hi Everyone,

Picked this one out of a bulk of 1921 Morgans I purchased. Looked to me to be a VAM3A initially due to the dot under the wing. Sent it to PCGS who slabbed it MS63 but said that it doesn't match any variety they will slab.

I'm no expert but I can see a crack at STATES, a dot in the S of STATES, a dot under the wing, a dot in the tail feathers and scribbles under the eagle. Am I seeing things or have I just attributed the wrong VAM

First, what you have is VAM-3 since the break is not there yet to make it 3A.
Second, PCGS only attribute those 'listed' VAMs such as Top-100, Hot-50, etc., (VAM-3A is not on a list).
If you want to have VAM attribution on your now PCGS holder, send it to VSS (messydesk).
