I Can not Tell if this is bubbling or what! But I never Have Seen it. I am hoping a error coin. 2003 1 cent euro. Any idea or should I keep it? Thanks

Hard to say exactly what it is from those photos but if it is raised, then I can say it is not an error. There is no way that could happen during the striking of the coin.

It is actually not raised at all. It is Inside of the coin and flat.... very strange

I saw similair eurocents, I have a few curious myself but not that extreme. This one I found online though, in German it is called "pickel".

It looks like whatever that is called.."pickel" in german happened before the strike maybe? Due to the lines going over it?

It is some kind of an error, but what exactly I don't know. The picture comes from this German source, it's in German but has translation options.. although I can't find an instant explanation unfortunatly about how the error is formed. I have it on this coin too, it looks very similair but maybe not the same..?

Possibly this is similar to what happens with United States copper coated Zinc cents. The Zinc starts to corrode underneath causing the bubbles. The Eurocent is copper over steel.
